Learn To Sail - Level Two

This course is for someone who already has a knowledge of sailing or who has completed the Level 1 course. The course runs for four Saturdays or two weekends from 9am – 3pm. In this course you will build on what you have learnt in Level 1, in addition you will also cover anchoring, navigation and seamanship. At the end of this course, you will be a competent crew member.

What’s Included

Participants will have access to Club-provided wet weather gear and buoyancy aids throughout the course. Participants who have not already received a complimentary three-month Club membership through the Level 1 course will also be eligible to receive one. Upon successful completion, sailors will be awarded a Yachting New Zealand Level 2 Certificate.

The Boats

The Club’s J24 keelboats are ideal for learning to sail, offering a stable, safe, and forgiving platform for beginners.  With a maximum ratio of one coach to four students, participants benefit from a supportive and hands-on learning environment.  Everyone can take an active role onboard while developing confidence and practical sailing skills.
