BBYC Junior & Intermediate Winter Series 
 
RACING PROGRAMME
The Bucklands Beach Yacht Club is pleased to announce their 2018 Winter Series which we will run through August to September.
 
1.00pm to 4.00pm    22nd July 2018   BBYC
1.00pm to 4.00pm    5th August 2018  BBYC
1.00pm to 4.00pm    19th August 2018   BBYC
1.00pm to 4.00pm   2 September 2018   BBYC
 
Classes: Optimist, BIC, P Class, Starling,  Fevas, Sunbursts.
 
Prize Giving will be held at BBYC on the 9th September.
 
OPTIMIST, STARLING, BIC
P CLASS, FEVA RACING, SUNBURST, other
Pre-requirements: If hiring a BBYC Feva you must be a BBYC member.
 
RACING REGISTRATION:
Optimist, Starling, BIC & P Class racing:
Entry Fees: $50 per sailor or $15 per afternoon
 
FEVA
Entry Fees: $110 or $30 per sailor

Registration closes: 19 July 2018 – Bookings are essential for all divisions.  Fevas there are only three boats to hire so get in early.

One off sessions:
Bookings are essential. A registration needs to be filled out the Friday before each one off session and payment to be made before. 
 
Before Racing Briefing and Rigging:
Please arrive at the Yacht clubs at least 30minutes early to help rig the boats.
 
Briefing:
Each briefing will be held at your own Yacht Clubs rigging area.  Rigging will need to be done before so we advise everyone to arrive at least 30mins before to get their boats all rigged up and ready to go before briefing. 
 
End of each Racing session/debriefing:
Every session will end with a debriefing and a sausage sizzle at your yacht club.
 
BBYC Centreboard:
The rigging area for the BBYC centreboard will be at the front of Wharf road on the parade.
 
Parents Involvement:
We encourage the parents to be involved for the Winter Sundays, and will be asking volunteers to help cook the sausage sizzle at the end of each session whilst the young sailors are been debriefed.
 
Clothing:
We do advise each sailor to wear the following: Winter wet suits, sailing booties, spray jackets, hats, sailing gloves, you will need your own life jacket.  Please make sure to have a dry set of warm clothes for the end of the day.
